Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dave Russi started the match with the kick off. Achille Strazzabosco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Lio having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Sacchi during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, salento blacks wolves's Emilio Sacchi got a free kick in the 15th minute. Fausto Giuliani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Lio having to interfere. If Dave Russi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anfilogino Genovesi's late challenge caught a Stiolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, salento blacks wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo De Carolis to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Emanuele Marconi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesare Polito. salento blacks wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuele Marconi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Stiolo's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Strazzabosco came free, but Fausto Lio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Lio came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by salento blacks wolves's Fausto Giuliani. But to his dismay, Fausto Giuliani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Emanuele Marconi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cesare Polito firmly grabbed it by the left post. 44 minutes into the game, Adriano Rosati was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. salento blacks wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiolo the free kick. In the 44th match minute, salento blacks wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Rosati to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achille Strazzabosco was the one to do the kick off. Stiolo's Emanuele Marconi got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuele Marconi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesare Polito having to make a save. Achille Strazzabosco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Lio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Dave Russi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stiolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Russi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesare Polito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Marconi, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for salento blacks wolves! 95 minutes into the match, Stiolo's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Strazzabosco came free, but Fausto Lio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The salento blacks wolves players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
