The audience was convinced that Fausto Giuliani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciccio Caroselli was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After having played for 7 minutes, Fausto Giuliani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. salento blacks wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Giuliani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciccio Caroselli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Strazzabosco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of salento blacks wolves booed when Romitorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Coscarella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesare Polito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Cinalli in the 12th minute of play. Fausto Giuliani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ciccio Caroselli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Romitorio's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Strazzabosco came free, but Ciccio Caroselli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Romitorio's Carmine Canzano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesare Polito was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Amerigo Cinalli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Polito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Rosati charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Rosati the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adriano Rosati kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Amerigo Cinalli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Polito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Amerigo Cinalli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romitorio's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Cinalli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmine Canzano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Polito having to interfere. If Amerigo Cinalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Achille Strazzabosco made a kick off. Ciccio Caroselli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Strazzabosco in the 52nd minute of the match. If Achille Strazzabosco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Romitorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Rossetti to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Romitorio's goalkeeper Ciccio Caroselli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Giuliani. salento blacks wolves's Cesare Polito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Cinalli in the 63rd minute of play. Cesare Polito came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Romitorio's Amerigo Cinalli. But to his dismay, Amerigo Cinalli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ciccio Caroselli made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Fausto Giuliani sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Giuliani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciccio Caroselli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Strazzabosco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Strazzabosco in the 83rd minute of play forced Romitorio's goalkeeper Ciccio Caroselli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adriano Rosati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romitorio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
