Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fabio Matteucci got the match started through his kick off. Fabio Matteucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Di Virgilio hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Fabio Matteucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chievo's Beppe Antonangeli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beppe Antonangeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Matteucci in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Dennis Treglia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Antonangeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabio Matteucci came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Velate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Matteucci couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Matteucci in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Antonangeli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Anselmo Di Toro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Beppe Antonangeli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Fabio Matteucci notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Chievo's Beppe Antonangeli. Beppe Antonangeli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Matteucci in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beppe Antonangeli saved Chievo from getting behind. Fabio Matteucci got in the 42nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Beppe Antonangeli handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Angelo Guaita's late challenge caught a Velate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Guaita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Chievo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Guaita to maneuver through the defense. Beppe Antonangeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Matteucci in the 44th minute of play. Anselmo Di Toro took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beppe Antonangeli. Beppe Antonangeli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Guaita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Armando Padula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Padula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chievo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Anselmo Di Pietro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a little luck, Chievo's Beppe Antonangeli got control of the ball when Dennis Treglia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Di Toros short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Beppe Antonangeli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dennis Treglia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 71st playminute. If Anselmo Di Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Di Toro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Beppe Antonangeli 77 minutes into the match. Aldo Miranda's late challenge caught a Velate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, one of Chievo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chievo. Anselmo Di Pietro placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Velate's Fabio Matteucci in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chievo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Matteucci in the 88th minute of play forced Chievo's goalkeeper Beppe Antonangeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Davide Patricelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Matteucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Antonangeli having to interfere. 0-7 became the score in the 95th minute when Fabio Matteucci elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Fabio Matteucci took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Beppe Antonangeli to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Velate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chievo.
