In the 6th minute, Edoardo Di Paola made a precise shot to the right of Cosimo Capone. Velate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chiappa's zone, Fabio Matteucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Briano came out of the goal and Fabio Matteucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Filippo Pesce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Briano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Matteucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Panino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosimo Capone having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Chiappa's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Matteucci came free, but Alessandro Briano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Velate's Cosimo Capone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Di Paola in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Velate's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Di Paola came free, but Cosimo Capone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chiappa getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Daniele Pietrantoni hit a great ball. Fabio Matteucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Briano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Chiappa's Alessandro Briano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Chiappa from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute Ernesto Panino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Capone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Matteucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alessandro Briano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Briano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Matteucci in the 45th minute of the match.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Matteucci to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Fabio Matteucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessandro Briano was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 53rd minute, Fabio Matteucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Padula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chiappa's goalkeeper Alessandro Briano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Chiappa's zone, Anselmo Di Toro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Briano came out of the goal and Anselmo Di Toro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Di Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Velate's goalkeeper Cosimo Capone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Filippo Pesce fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chiappa's protests and gave Filippo Pesce a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the match, Chiappa's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Di Toro came free, but Alessandro Briano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Panino's late challenge caught a Velate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Panino helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Anselmo Di Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velate's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Di Toro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Briano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, Velate's Anselmo Di Toro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Briano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alessandro Briano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Di Toro in the 96th minute of play.
