When Ciro Pellicciotta fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capo di Leuca's protests and gave Ciro Pellicciotta a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tti Mauriti AFC's Arturo De Nicola got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Capo di Leuca's Cristoforo Piola got control of the ball when Corrado Felli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Diego Del Papa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristoforo Piola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corrado Felli in the 25th minute. Cristoforo Piola came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Tti Mauriti AFC's Corrado Felli. But to his dismay, Corrado Felli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Davide Fiorentino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberigo Cieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Adriano Prisco made a precise shot to the right of Cristoforo Piola. Capo di Leuca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corrado Felli got free with Cristoforo Piola in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davide Fiorentino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Prisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Piola having to interfere. Arturo De Nicola, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Capo di Leuca's Armando Pasquarelli got a free kick in the 61st minute. It was a well-played corner which Fausto Fiorentino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Corrado Felli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Piola having to interfere. Cristoforo Piola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Prisco's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Cristoforo Piola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Di Matteo in the 72nd minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Arturo De Nicola shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Capo di Leuca's Cristoforo Piola to catch but Arturo De Nicola was lucky. It became 3-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Alberigo Cieri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Augusto Bassi made a huge save. Alberigo Cieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Bassi having to interfere. If Corrado Felli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tti Mauriti AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
