Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Verna started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ceranesi's Alessandro Mingione got a free kick in the 4th minute. Amedeo Mazzola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Piscitelli in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Piscitelli in the 13th minute of play forced a.s.Paglieta's goalkeeper Amedeo Mazzola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Fabio Passalacqua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Alex Piscitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Mazzola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amedeo Mazzola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Piscitelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Fabio Passalacqua kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind a.s.Paglieta's goalkeeper Amedeo Mazzola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Fausto Verna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceranesi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Verna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Corsi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Mattioli having to make a save. Fausto Verna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Mazzola having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Ettore Milani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Diego Corsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Alfonso Berardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. a.s.Paglieta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ceranesi the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in a.s.Paglieta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Corsi to make the kick off. When Bruno Proietti fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored a.s.Paglieta's protests and gave Bruno Proietti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ceranesi booed when a.s.Paglieta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Navarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Ceranesi's Alex Piscitelli made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amedeo Mazzola was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Alex Piscitelli fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alfonso Andreola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Mattioli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Fausto Verna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Verna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Mazzola having to interfere. When a.s.Paglieta's Diego Corsi in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceranesi's goalie prevented a goal. After 73 minutes, Ciro Oroni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceranesi and the a.s.Paglieta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ciro Oroni hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Alfonso Andreola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, a.s.Paglieta's Diego Corsi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aldo Mattioli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Alex Piscitelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amedeo Mazzola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Fausto Verna came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ceranesi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Verna couldn't finish the play. Fausto Verna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Amedeo Mazzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ceranesi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ceranesi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
