Villanova Di Denore's Comunardo Grasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Verna in the 36th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Verna to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Alex Piscitelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Oroni hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Donato Raimondi shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Alex Piscitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. But to his dismay, Fausto Castrucci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Piscitelli got free with Comunardo Grasso in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Piscitelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Comunardo Grasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulvio Di Cristofaro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Ceranesi's Fausto Verna got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ceranesi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
