Fortunato Frabetti was slow to take the kick. During this time Rosenborg BK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fortunato Frabetti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alberto Pili quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 19th match minute, Rane Pazze Refundation was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Di Meo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ettore Petrella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Pili was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Alessandro Briano was a little too slow when Arrigo Basile got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. Alessandro Briano made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Elia Flocco sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Arrigo Basile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Briano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Enrico Andreassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosenborg BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rane Pazze Refundation the free kick. A collision led to Rosenborg BK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Enrico Andreassi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Basile in the 41st minute of play forced Rosenborg BK's goalkeeper Alessandro Briano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ettore Petrella was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristoforo Ragusa got free with Alberto Pili in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55thth minute of the game Ettore Petrella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rane Pazze Refundation's Alberto Pili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ettore Petrella came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Rosenborg BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Petrella couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Rane Pazze Refundation's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Ragusa came free, but Alberto Pili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Briano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Basile, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, Arrigo Basile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rane Pazze Refundation's Alberto Pili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Rane Pazze Refundation from getting a goal against them. Bruno Baratta kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Rane Pazze Refundation was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Baratta to maneuver through the defense. Rane Pazze Refundation's Alberto Pili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Petrella in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ettore Petrella fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cristoforo Ragusa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Rane Pazze Refundation could leave the field as winners, despite Rosenborg BK having more of the ball for most of the match.
