Dino Toto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Laurenti in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Comunardo Verdecchia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerro Maggiore FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Casalecchio the free kick. Carter Gabriele took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anfilogino Tarulli. Cerro Maggiore FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Cerro Maggiore FC booed when Casalecchio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Micucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Casalecchio getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Beppe Campana hit a great ball. Dennis Sasso, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Demetrio Laurenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Candeloro struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Anfilogino Tarulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casalecchio. 27 minutes into the match, Florian Spagnuolo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anfilogino Tarulli. Cerro Maggiore FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Spagnuolo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cerro Maggiore FC's Frank Bisegna got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Maggiore FC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Tarulli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florian Spagnuolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anfilogino Tarulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Biagio Candeloro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Muzzolon charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Muzzolon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Casalecchio getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emilio Muzzolon hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the game, Dennis Sasso landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Cerro Maggiore FC's Frank Bisegna got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Cerro Maggiore FC booed when Casalecchio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Muzzolon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Tarulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Spagnuolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casalecchio's Carter Gabriele was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anfilogino Tarulli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 70th minute, Carmine Bonanni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Biagio Candeloro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Casalecchio's Florian Spagnuolo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Casalecchio were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Cerro Maggiore FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carter Gabriele took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Carter Gabriele got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anfilogino Tarulli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Biagio Candeloro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cerro Maggiore FC's zone, Biagio Candeloro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anfilogino Tarulli came out of the goal and Biagio Candeloro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anfilogino Tarulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Spagnuolo in the 96th minute of the match. A collision led to Casalecchio getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Biagio Candeloro hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Casalecchio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cerro Maggiore FC.
