Ennio Staniscia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Taraborrelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Saonara defense, Corrado Cirelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ennio Staniscia. The Saonara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ennio Staniscia should have stopped the shot. Concetto Corna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ennio Staniscia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Concetto Corna put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ennio Staniscia. Ennio Staniscia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Schiavio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Mori during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernesto Mori hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ennio Staniscia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Comunardo Schiavio went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute, Comunardo Schiavio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ennio Staniscia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico Morandin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ennio Staniscia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corrado Cirelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Corrado Cirelli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ennio Staniscia. The goal made the score 0-5. Ernesto Mori got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Bergoro AFC booed when Saonara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Mori didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Cirelli in the 67th minute of play forced Saonara's goalkeeper Ennio Staniscia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Saonara's goalkeeper Ennio Staniscia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Comunardo Schiavio. The supporters of Bergoro AFC booed when Saonara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Bosco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Flavio Palmucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergoro AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Palmucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennio Staniscia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corrado Cirelli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Bergoro AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Cirelli in the 83rd minute of play forced Saonara's goalkeeper Ennio Staniscia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Di Crescenzo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernesto Di Crescenzo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Bergoro AFC made a substitution. Enzo Donadoni replaced Arrigo Grande. In the 85th minute, Ernesto Di Crescenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saonara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flavio Palmucci was slow to take the kick. During this time Bergoro AFC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Concetto Corna managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Bergoro AFC's Concetto Corna in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ennio Staniscia was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Saonara through an amazing save. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saonara's goalkeeper Ennio Staniscia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flavio Camerlengo in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ennio Staniscia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bergoro AFC played a much better game than Saonara and deserved their victory. The Saonara players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
