In the 26th minute of the match, Christian Formica got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabio Angelini was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Legnano's Demetrio De Nicola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Angelini. That made the score 3-0 after 28 minutes of play. Christian Formica made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 31stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Fabio Angelini would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A hard shot 33 in the game by Christian Formica from a close distance when the talented Fabio Angelini managed to make a qualified save. Savonarola's players were relieved. Savonarola's Fabio Angelini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio De Nicola in the 37th minute of play. If Demetrio De Nicola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 46 in the game by Christian Formica from a close distance when the talented Fabio Angelini managed to make a qualified save. Savonarola's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Demetrio De Nicola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legnano's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio De Nicola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Angelini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Donato Pasquarelli made the kick off in the second half. Fabio Angelini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio De Nicola, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Legnano booed when Savonarola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Guarrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Legnano's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Pasquarelli came free, but Antonio Ceccarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Pasquarelli in the 65th minute of play forced Legnano's goalkeeper Antonio Ceccarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Angelini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Formica's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute Demetrio De Nicola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Angelini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Ceccarelli was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Donato Pasquarelli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Donato Pasquarelli really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Antonio Ceccarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Pasquarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Filippo Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Legnano had won after a very even match.
