The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 19th minute, when Savonarola's Armando Massaro after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Davide Bucci in Sopramonte's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberigo Serra during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Savonarola booed when Sopramonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sopramonte's Davide Bucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Pasquarelli in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Filippo Fulgenzi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio Angelini skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute, Christian Reali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Enrico Atroce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sopramonte's Davide Bucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Donato Pasquarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savonarola's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Pasquarelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davide Bucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Davide Bucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Atroce in the 76th minute of the match. Christian Reali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
