The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Confreria AFC's Carmine Campitelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Betti in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Confreria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Betti came free, but Carmine Campitelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Betti in the 20th minute of play forced Confreria AFC's goalkeeper Carmine Campitelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Attilio Evangelista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arturo Tundo. Pirlo Usumaki's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Attilio Evangelista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Arturo Tundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Gazza in the 24th minute of play. Pirlo Usumaki's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Alvaro Martorella scored to the left of an out of position Arturo Tundo, making the score, 2-0. 29 minutes into the game, Demetrio Improta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Confreria AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirlo Usumaki the free kick. 30 minutes into the game, Enzo Betti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Carmine Campitelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Enzo Betti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pirlo Usumaki's Enzo Betti got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Fausto Barchiesi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirlo Usumaki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Barchiesi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Confreria AFC's Carmine Campitelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Betti in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enzo Betti made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Confreria AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Riccitelli to maneuver through the defense. Beppe Riccitelli kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Enzo Betti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirlo Usumaki's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Betti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmine Campitelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Betti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Carmine Campitelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Confreria AFC's Carmine Campitelli got control of the ball when Fausto Barchiesi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beppe Riccitelli hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Antonello Luciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carmine Campitelli was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Arturo Tundo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arrigo Gazza went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. When Armando Arcangeli came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pirlo Usumaki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Arcangeli couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Confreria AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Pirlo Usumaki having more of the ball for most of the match.
