Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Carmine Lemme made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Boratella FC's zone, Dorival Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Ricci came out of the goal and Dorival Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 9 in the game by Carmine Lemme from a close distance when the talented Domenico Ricci managed to make a qualified save. Boratella FC's players were relieved. 13 minutes into the match, U.S.SASSUOLO's Achille Bellucci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domenico Ricci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U.S.SASSUOLO's Ennio Di Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Serantoni in the 15th minute of play. Achille Bellucci might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domenico Ricci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Achille Bellucci ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 19 minutes, Carmine Lemme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.S.SASSUOLO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmine Lemme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Comunardo Catapano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Di Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domenico Ricci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Bellucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domenico Ricci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ennio Di Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Palmieri in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Serantoni made a kick off. The supporters of U.S.SASSUOLO booed when Boratella FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Serantoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achille Bellucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Domenico Ricci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domenico Ricci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Lemme, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the U.S.SASSUOLO players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
