The audience held their breath when Fabrizio Del Bello in the 21st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Fulvio Calcio's left hand side. If Emiliano Vinci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulvio Calcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Colelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Bianco Dorigatti hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Del Bello in the 33rd minute of play forced Marnate AFC's goalkeeper Fulvio Calcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Vinci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Saliceto Buzzalina's zone, Eraldo Iachini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniele Potenza came out of the goal and Eraldo Iachini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Emiliano Colelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniele Potenza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Iachini, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Vinci to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristoforo Nero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Vinci in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniele Potenza saved Saliceto Buzzalina from getting behind. Daniele Potenza was a little too slow when Emiliano Vinci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-1. Emiliano Colelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Fulvio Calcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Saliceto Buzzalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Polidori to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Vinci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniele Potenza was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Emiliano Vinci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Daniele Potenza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristoforo Nero kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Marnate AFC's Fulvio Calcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Nero in the 84th minute of play. Cristoforo Nero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emiliano Colelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Marnate AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marnate AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
