The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Conforti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lughetto's Alberigo Scannella got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberigo Scannella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Conforti having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ercolano defense, Ferruccio Di Meo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Conforti. The Ercolano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Conforti should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ercolano getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ennio Gava hit a great ball. The supporters of Lughetto booed when Ercolano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Scatena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lughetto's Alfredo Vida tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alfredo Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Fedele Pantalone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lughetto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ercolano the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Lughetto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Pantalone to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ennio Gava made a kick off. Alfredo Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Manzoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Gava in the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Ercolano booed when Lughetto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Di Felice didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Manzoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Gava, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ercolano were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Lughetto's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fausto Antonelli took the corner. Alberigo Scannella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Conforti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ercolano's zone, Adriano Di Felice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Conforti came out of the goal and Adriano Di Felice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Gava in the 75th minute of play forced Lughetto's goalkeeper Angelo Manzoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Pantalone hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alfredo Fagnani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Manzoli having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Ennio Gava ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Manzoli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Alberigo Scannella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Conforti having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Ercolano's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Scannella came free, but Fabiano Conforti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
