Anfilogino Torri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Coccolone in the 28th minute of the match. Alessandro Serra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anfilogino Torri having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Biagio Coccolone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Dairago booed when Ognissanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Greco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Dairago getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eraldo Ronconi hit a great ball. Fabrizio Mattioli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Alessandro Serra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Anfilogino Torri made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrizio Mattioli during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dairago's Fabrizio Mattioli got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Eraldo Benarrivo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Serra got free with Anfilogino Torri in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro Di Ianni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Beppe Donadoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
