Bernardo Melfi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Pocobello in the 6th minute of the match. Bernardo Melfi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Riso went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Alessandro Grimaldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R. C. F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fulvio Mascitti hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Emilio Colecchia made a precise shot to the right of Alberigo Aversano. Cermes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 19 played minutes Cermes FC got a freekick which was hit by Amos Formica. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Colecchia in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Aversano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. R. C. F. C.'s Bernardo Melfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Pocobello in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Alessandro Grimaldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R. C. F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Fabio Gabriele took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberigo Aversano. Alberigo Aversano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Emilio Colecchia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alberigo Aversano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Bernardo Di Claudio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cermes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R. C. F. C. the free kick. The supporters of R. C. F. C. booed when Cermes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Di Claudio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Gabriele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Aversano having to interfere. Alberigo Aversano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Colecchia in the 39th minute of play. Arturo Collovati hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, R. C. F. C.'s Arturo Collovati got a free kick in the 44th minute. Fulvio Mascitti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Bernardo Melfi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 46 played minutes R. C. F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Collovati. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulvio Mascitti to make the kick off. Alberigo Aversano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Grimaldi went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. If Alessandro Grimaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Emilio Colecchia took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for Alberigo Aversano to make any attempt to save it. In the 61st minute, Fabio Gabriele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Collovati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Gabriele in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Aversano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessandro Grimaldi had several of the Cermes FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-7 score and a disappointed Alberigo Aversano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bernardo Di Claudio was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cermes FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! In the 75th minute there was a penalty for R. C. F. C.. Fabio Gabriele stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberigo Aversano. 2-8. Cermes FC's Alberigo Aversano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Cermes FC from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, Cermes FC's goalkeeper Alberigo Aversano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Collovati. If Arturo Collovati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberigo Aversano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Colecchia, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cermes FC's zone, Filippo Eboli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberigo Aversano came out of the goal and Filippo Eboli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberigo Aversano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Collovati in the 94th minute of the match. A hard shot 97 in the game by Alessandro Grimaldi from a close distance when the talented Alberigo Aversano managed to make a qualified save. Cermes FC's players were relieved. The Cermes FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R. C. F. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
