Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Di Ianni made a kick off. Cesinali's Fabiano Oberrauch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Cesinali from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cesinali's zone, Achille Minicucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Oberrauch came out of the goal and Achille Minicucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Ronconi in the 66th minute of play forced Capalle's goalkeeper Eugenio Papa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Carosella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Papa having to interfere. Beppe Ronconi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Fabio Di Ianni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabiano Oberrauch. The goal made the score 0-2. Fabio Di Ianni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cesinali fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Fabiano Oberrauch, was totally fooled by Capalle's Attilio Di Camillo, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Fabio Di Ianni came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Capalle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Di Ianni couldn't finish the play. Fabio Di Ianni hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Capalle's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
