Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) San Novo AFC's Ferdinando Granata started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Dennis Strazzabosco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Novo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basovizza FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Novo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! If Filippo Del Vecchio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristoforo Masciarelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Felice Ianni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Felice Ianni managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Basovizza FC's Angelo Del Bello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alexander Minichiello charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Minichiello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Novo AFC's Alexander Minichiello got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Basovizza FC's Angelo Del Bello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felice Ianni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Filippo Del Vecchio fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basovizza FC's protests and gave Filippo Del Vecchio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Novo AFC booed when Basovizza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Del Vecchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beppe Galliani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Granata, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Cristoforo Masciarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basovizza FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristoforo Masciarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristoforo Masciarelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristoforo Masciarelli made a kick off. 60 minutes into the game, one of Basovizza FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Felice Ianni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoforo Masciarelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Filippo Del Vecchio came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Basovizza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Del Vecchio couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Basovizza FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Carmine Caretti hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see San Novo AFC's Antonello Corvo in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Basovizza FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Filippo Di Giovanni hit a great ball. With a little luck, Basovizza FC's Beppe Galliani got control of the ball when Bianco De Nardis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Basovizza FC's goalkeeper Beppe Galliani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bianco De Nardis. Cristoforo Masciarelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Federico Cruciani kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Angelo Del Bello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Felice Ianni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bianco De Nardis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Novo AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Basovizza FC.
