In the 7thth minute of the game Alfredo Forlani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Borghetti's Enrico Grasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Atletico Borghetti's Achille De Bonis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Delle Donne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atletico Borghetti's Alfredo Porta got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alfredo Forlani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, one of Castel Bolognese:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alfredo Porta hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Alfredo Forlani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Grasso having to interfere. Alvaro Aversa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Delle Donne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille De Bonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Christian Marinacci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castel Bolognese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Marinacci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Castel Bolognese booed when Atletico Borghetti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Della Francesca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Forlani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Forlani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Castel Bolognese's Flavio Delle Donne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille De Bonis in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Achille De Bonis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Borghetti's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille De Bonis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Delle Donne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Forlani struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Enrico Grasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castel Bolognese. Ferruccio Tabacchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Atletico Borghetti's Alfredo Porta got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Castel Bolognese's goal looked a bit too open when Achille De Bonis came free, but Flavio Delle Donne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Achille De Bonis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Delle Donne was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 84th minute Achille De Bonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Delle Donne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atletico Borghetti's Alfredo Porta got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flavio Delle Donne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille De Bonis in the 92nd minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
