The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Real Folletti's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Mosca came free, but Cristoforo Petrella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andrea Marcelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrea Marcelli scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristoforo Petrella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristoforo Petrella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Marcelli in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Andrea Marcelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Petrella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristoforo Petrella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Parente in the 27th minute of the match. Daniele Bucci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Costantino having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Real Folletti's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Marcelli came free, but Cristoforo Petrella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristoforo Petrella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano De Tommasi in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Mosca in the 45th minute of play forced Real Folletti's goalkeeper Cristoforo Petrella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Salemme struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cristoforo Petrella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fiesole Calcio.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiliano De Tommasi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Cristoforo Mosca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Petrella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristoforo Petrella made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cristoforo Mosca sent off a good shot on target. Aldo Costantino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Bucci in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Real Folletti's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Marcelli came free, but Cristoforo Petrella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrea Marcelli got free with Cristoforo Petrella in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristoforo Petrella made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Cristoforo Mosca sent off a good shot on target. Cristoforo Petrella was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Alfredo Salemme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Salemme really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fiesole Calcio eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
