In a very dangerous position, a player in Fiesole Calcio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Greco in the 19th minute of play forced Fiesole Calcio's goalkeeper Aldo Costantino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Fabrizio Totaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldo Costantino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Fiordelisi in the 27th minute of play. When Alfredo Salemme fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fiesole Calcio's protests and gave Alfredo Salemme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Fiesole Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Salemme to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villalta reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano De Tommasi made a kick off. Aldo Costantino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Concetto Greco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Flavio Trombetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Franco Fiordelisi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Emiliano De Tommasi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Scrima. Villalta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emiliano De Tommasi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano De Tommasi in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Scrima saved Villalta from getting behind. Emiliano De Tommasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Concetto Greco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Moscatelli during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
