After some careless play in the Solbiate Olona defense, Comunardo Granati kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniele De Amicis. The Solbiate Olona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniele De Amicis should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Demetrio Riccitelli in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniele De Amicis saved Solbiate Olona from getting behind. Daniele De Amicis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Trombatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comunardo Granati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniele De Amicis having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Solbiate Olona got a freekick which was hit by Dino Ubriaco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Riccitelli in the 33rd minute of play forced Solbiate Olona's goalkeeper Daniele De Amicis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniele De Amicis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felice Anzolin in the 45th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Demetrio Riccitelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solbiate Olona's Daniele De Amicis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Ubriaco made a kick off. In the 69th minute Demetrio Riccitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele De Amicis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo Trombatore got free with Daniele De Amicis in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the game, Solbiate Olona's Federico Mazzetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Di Muzio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Solbiate Olona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Demetrio Riccitelli scored to the left of an out of position Daniele De Amicis, making the score, 1-6. 91 minutes into the match, Solbiate Olona's goalkeeper Daniele De Amicis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Demetrio Riccitelli. The Solbiate Olona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. San Mauro A Mare AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
