Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Anthony Castrucci started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Pol. Certosa's Anthony Castrucci got a free kick in the 7th minute. Fabrizio Zoccali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achille Albertini's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. If Eraldo Di Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pol. Certosa's Bernardo Ramundo got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ercole Lorenzi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Ferdinando Musacchio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pol. Certosa's Fabrizio Zoccali didn't even have to move. Ferdinando Musacchio, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 22nd minute, Felice Carnevale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes, Bernardo Ramundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pol. Certosa and the palmese players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferdinando Musacchio shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ercole Lorenzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Corrado Caruso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pol. Certosa's Fabrizio Zoccali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Albertini in the 32nd minute of play. If Achille Albertini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Franco Faieta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fabrizio Zoccali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pol. Certosa's Fabrizio Zoccali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Albertini in the 42nd minute of play. If Eraldo Di Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half palmese were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
In the 52nd minute, palmese's Achille Albertini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabrizio Zoccali. Fabrizio Zoccali yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After some careless play in the palmese defense, Anthony Castrucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corrado Caruso. The palmese fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corrado Caruso should have stopped the shot. Eraldo Di Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fabrizio Zoccali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Pol. Certosa got a freekick which was hit by Felice Carnevale. Fabrizio Zoccali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Albertini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Castrucci in the 67th minute of play forced palmese's goalkeeper Corrado Caruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Zoccali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Albertini in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Pol. Certosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Lorenzi to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, palmese's Ferdinando Musacchio tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Eraldo Di Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fabrizio Zoccali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Rocco kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eraldo Di Vito got free with Fabrizio Zoccali in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. palmese's Corrado Caruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Castrucci in the 89th minute of play. Eraldo Di Vito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Fabrizio Zoccali when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Achille Albertini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Zoccali having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pol. Certosa's goalkeeper Fabrizio Zoccali, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Castrucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Corrado Caruso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. palmese walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
