San Michele's Alberigo Ciccarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save San Michele from getting a goal against them. When Armando Canuto came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the San Leo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Canuto couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Tammaro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Armando Canuto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alberigo Ciccarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Canuto got free with Alberigo Ciccarelli in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute Corrado Ascenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Ciccarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Ciccarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Ascenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Attilio Pelati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Salemme, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Corrado Schiavoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domenico Salemme made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, San Michele's Domenico Salemme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Attilio Pelati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, San Michele's Corrado Schiavoni got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Corrado Ascenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Leo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corrado Ascenzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Ciccarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Domenico Salemme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Armando Canuto managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Leo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Canuto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Ciccarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Ascenzi in the 87th minute of play forced San Michele's goalkeeper Alberigo Ciccarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Demetrio Federici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Corrado Ascenzi notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of San Michele's Alberigo Ciccarelli. Alberigo Ciccarelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. San Leo AFC had played much better football throughout.
