Carmine Fontana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Pellicciotta having to interfere. If Amerigo Rotondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Zena booed when Pessione was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Rotondi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Fioravanti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amerigo Rotondi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 minutes of play, Zena's Cristoforo Fioravanti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Sangermano was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Rotondi in the 20th minute of play forced Zena's goalkeeper Federico Pellicciotta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Faieta kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Zena's Federico Pellicciotta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Zena from getting a goal against them. Amerigo Rotondi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Ricciuti's late challenge caught a Zena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pessione the free kick. 39 minutes into the match, Zena's goalkeeper Federico Pellicciotta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmine Fontana. If Carmine Fontana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Carmine Fontana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Federico Pellicciotta. Zena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmine Fontana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
The wind increased when Alessio Borromeo made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pessione getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Anselmo Magliocco hit a great ball. After having played for 52 minutes, Cristoforo Fioravanti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristoforo Fioravanti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Federico Pellicciotta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amerigo Rotondi's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Amerigo Rotondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Pellicciotta having to interfere. Federico Pellicciotta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerigo Rotondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Donato Caniglia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Federico Pellicciotta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Diego Checchia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Carmine Fontana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Pellicciotta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Checchia got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
