Elia Santovito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Arioli having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Locatelli in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Arioli saved Cogorno AFC from getting behind. Angelo Locatelli struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Adriano Arioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Polo. Adriano Arioli was a little too slow when Angelo Locatelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Adriano Arioli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Locatelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elia Santovito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Adriano Arioli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alessandro Pan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Anfilogino Valeriani struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Donato Como hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Claudio Talamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anfilogino Valeriani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Polo's goalkeeper Ernesto Abete, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Locatelli to make the kick off. Christian Gerola kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Enrico Schirru kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Cogorno AFC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gerola. Enrico Colantonio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Locatelli struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Adriano Arioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Polo. But to his dismay, Angelo Locatelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Adriano Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Locatelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When Angelo Locatelli came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the San Polo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Locatelli couldn't finish the play. San Polo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
