Ermanno Magliocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Giardini having to interfere. When Daniele Gelsomini fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Rosso Football Club's protests and gave Daniele Gelsomini a yellow card for diving instead. The long shot by Dave Porta in the 29th minute really tested Cristiano Giardini's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 31st minute, Diego Massa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno De Vincentis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Franco Pennetta fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longobarda's protests and gave Franco Pennetta a yellow card for diving instead. Franco Pennetta hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carter Mancini was the one to do the kick off. Borgo Rosso Football Club's Cristiano Giardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Mancini in the 52nd minute of play. Carter Mancini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristiano Giardini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Giardini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Pennetta went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Borgo Rosso Football Club's Diego Massa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno De Vincentis. Bruno De Vincentis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Borgo Rosso Football Club were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Longobarda's much stronger midfield.
