A wasted opportunity for Diolaguardia. 14 minutes into the game, Concetto Masetti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diolaguardia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sessarego AFC the free kick. With a little luck, Diolaguardia's Beppe Mancinelli got control of the ball when Alberigo Troiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beppe Mancinelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Di Giovanni in the 22nd minute of play. If Alberigo Troiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sessarego AFC's Donato Lenci got a free kick in the 31st minute. Beppe Mancinelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Di Giovanni's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Alexander Guerrieri charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Belfiore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Diolaguardia's Alessandro Belfiore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Oberrauch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Di Giovanni in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beppe Mancinelli saved Diolaguardia from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Di Giovanni in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Mancinelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th match minute, Sessarego AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Colasante to maneuver through the defense. Dave Di Giovanni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberigo Troiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Mancinelli having to interfere. The Sessarego AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Diolaguardia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
