Arturo Uguccioni hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Franco Gaspari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diolaguardia's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Gaspari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amos Baur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, one of Boratella:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boratella. After a defensive mix-up in Boratella's zone, Alessandro Belfiore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amos Baur came out of the goal and Alessandro Belfiore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Boratella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Rucci to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Alessandro Belfiore made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Boratella's Amos Baur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Franco Gaspari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Belfiore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amos Baur having to make a save. Alessandro Belfiore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amos Baur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Belfiore in the 30th minute of play. Boratella's Amos Baur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Belfiore in the 34th minute of play. If Alessandro Belfiore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Cesaroni to make the kick off. The supporters of Boratella booed when Diolaguardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Albanesi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonello Caiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Mancinelli having to interfere. Amos Baur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Belfiore in the 60th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amos Baur made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Franco Gaspari sent off a good shot on target. Alessandro Belfiore did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Amos Baur 89 minutes into the match. Diolaguardia played a much better game than Boratella and deserved their victory. The Boratella players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
