Frank Ceccarelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferruccio Di Fonzo in the 14th minute of play. If Ferruccio Di Fonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermanno Gaudino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristiano Rosi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Ceccarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Fava in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Di Fonzo made the kick off in the second half. If Alfonso Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermanno Gaudino scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Rosi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alvise Capuozzi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lucinico FC's protests and gave Alvise Capuozzi a yellow card for diving instead. Amos Cesarini was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Carmine Amadei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Amos Cesarini in the 83rd minute really tested Frank Ceccarelli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
