A collision led to Santa Severa getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alberigo Picozzi hit a great ball. Donato Piccoli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabrizio Schirru. Santa Severa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Ciro Andreoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Severa's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Andreoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Perilli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ciro Andreoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Bruno Imperiale made the kick off in the second half. Fausto Bucciarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Schirru having to interfere. Fabrizio Schirru was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Fausto Bucciarelli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Bucciarelli really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Fabrizio Schirru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fausto Bucciarelli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Antonio Perilli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Evani in the 71st minute of the match. Franco Bencivenni charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franco Bencivenni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santa Severa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the final whistle sounded a.s. Fichi e Pizza left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santa Severa.
