Alexander Travaglini charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Travaglini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Scena got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Travaglini. Armin Ingegno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Costantini having to make a save. When Andrea Alati fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scena's protests and gave Andrea Alati a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Scena got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Alati. Armin Ingegno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Costantini having to interfere. When Flavio Piano fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Caterina's protests and gave Flavio Piano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santa Caterina getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Flavio Piano hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Scena defense, Christian Manzoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Costantini. The Scena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Costantini should have stopped the shot. Ciro Costantini didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Santa Caterina's Flavio Piano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Armin Ingegno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Caterina's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Ingegno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Costantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Costantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Manzoni in the 37th minute of play. Cesare Rosetta's late challenge caught a Santa Caterina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesare Rosetta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Scena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesare Rosetta to maneuver through the defense. When Santa Caterina's Armin Ingegno, in the 43rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Santa Caterina. Christian Manzoni scored 0-4 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Costantini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fortunato Daniele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arrigo Pinti kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Fortunato Daniele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Filippo Bani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexander Travaglini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Santa Caterina booed when Scena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Tesone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Manzoni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Ciro Costantini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Scena's Cesare Rosetta got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Cesare Rosetta off the ground. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Armin Ingegno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alexander Travaglini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Palermo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Santa Caterina's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Travaglini came free, but Filippo Bani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Santa Caterina booed when Scena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Anelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Fortunato Daniele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Caterina the free kick. After 84 played minutes Scena got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Daniele. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Manzoni got free with Ciro Costantini in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fortunato Daniele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scena's Alexander Travaglini got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Santa Caterina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
