The audience thought a goal was coming when Biagio Musso got free with Alberto Cappucci in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torrione Cerquetta FC's Alberto Cappucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Torrione Cerquetta FC from getting a goal against them. Biagio Musso took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Cappucci. Alberto Cappucci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Anthony Maietta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Gregori having to interfere. When Fedele Africano, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alberto Cappucci was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Demetrio Piccirilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Torrione Cerquetta FC's Anthony Maietta got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Flavio Coscia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Torrione Cerquetta FC's Alberto Cappucci didn't even have to move. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Daniele Eleuteri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Cappucci. Torrione Cerquetta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
