Antonello Ferraris's late challenge caught a Piazza Vecchia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Uguccioni in the 18th minute of play forced Marocco FC's goalkeeper Davide Treglia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Uguccioni couldn't finish the play. Demetrio Forlano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinando Luciano having to interfere. Piazza Vecchia FC's Ferdinando Luciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Sacchi in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Sacchi in the 30th minute of play forced Piazza Vecchia FC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Luciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Demetrio Forlano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinando Luciano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ferdinando Luciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Menichini, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Davide Treglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Mazzetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Antonello Ferraris was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Ermanno Ferrante shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Davide Treglia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ferdinando Luciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Forlano in the 73rd minute of the match. Alessandro Uguccioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Treglia having to interfere. Francesco Mazzetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Uguccioni in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davide Treglia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marocco FC's Attilio Sacchi got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Attilio Sacchi during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Attilio Sacchi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Piazza Vecchia FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ermanno Ferrante in the 96th minute. Piazza Vecchia FC's Ermanno Ferrante was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Davide Treglia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Piazza Vecchia FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Piazza Vecchia FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
