Cristoforo Locatelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Attilio Ciaccia made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Marangana FC's Attilio Petrucci got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Eugenio Urbani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Ciaccia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Arrigo Penna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Marangana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Urbani came free, but Attilio Ciaccia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 minutes, Attilio Petrucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marangana FC and the Cervia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Marangana FC got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Petrucci. In the 16th minute, Alberto Rubini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Attilio Ciaccia made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cristoforo Locatelli sent off a good shot on target. Cristoforo Locatelli struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Attilio Ciaccia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervia AFC. In the 32nd minute, Cristoforo Locatelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cervia AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 36th minute, Alessio Brunelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marangana FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Frank Zacchia kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Eugenio Urbani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristoforo Locatelli got free with Attilio Ciaccia in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Cristoforo Locatelli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Attilio Ciaccia. The goal made the score 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Urbani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Urbani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Attilio Ciaccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Alessio Brunelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristoforo Locatelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75thth minute of the game Cristoforo Locatelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marangana FC's Attilio Ciaccia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arrigo Penna's late challenge caught a Cervia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arrigo Penna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cervia AFC booed when Marangana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arrigo Penna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th play minute Alessio Brunelli came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dino Vanni. 2-2. In the 84thth minute of the game Eugenio Urbani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marangana FC's Attilio Ciaccia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristoforo Locatelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Eugenio Urbani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Ciaccia having to interfere. Attilio Ciaccia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoforo Locatelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
