Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antonio Ottaviani kicked off to start the match. Alberigo Topatigh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Raiola in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Viadagola booed when Piovega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Spadoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberigo Panino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ennio Casiraghi in the 18th minute. Viadagola's Ennio Casiraghi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Piovega's Federico Ferrara tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Achille Raiola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piovega's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille Raiola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Topatigh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudio Verdecchia charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Verdecchia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Piovega booed when Viadagola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Verdecchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achille Raiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Topatigh having to interfere. With a little luck, Piovega's Alberigo Panino got control of the ball when Ennio Casiraghi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Federico Ferrara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Anselmo Orsini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Topatigh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
56 minutes into the match, Viadagola's goalkeeper Alberigo Topatigh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Orsini. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Ottaviani in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberigo Panino saved Piovega from getting behind. If Antonio Ottaviani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Ottaviani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Panino having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Piovega got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Dominici. Federico Ferrara, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Antonio Ottaviani struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Alberigo Panino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viadagola. Achille Raiola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberigo Topatigh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Antonio Ottaviani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alberigo Panino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberigo Panino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Ottaviani's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Piovega's Achille Raiola got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anselmo Orsini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Alberigo Topatigh made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piovega eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
