After a defensive mix-up in Legnano FC's zone, Carter Terenzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bianco Castagna came out of the goal and Carter Terenzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bianco Castagna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter Terenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Legnano FC's goalkeeper Bianco Castagna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Alfonso Pascali fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legnano FC's protests and gave Alfonso Pascali a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Legnano FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alfonso Pascali hit a great ball. Carter Terenzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bianco Castagna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrico Carbonaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Casale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrico Carbonaro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Demetrio Donadoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salice Cálabro's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Donadoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bianco Castagna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 minutes of play, Salice Cálabro's Carter Terenzi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bianco Castagna was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Salice Cálabro's Claudio Castelli got a free kick in the 38th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Legnano FC's Daniele Rotolo tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Carter Terenzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Salice Cálabro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Carter Terenzi made the kick off in the second half. Fausto Casale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Bevilacqua in the 52nd minute of the match.
