Salice Cálabro's Fausto Casale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Margoni in the 22nd minute of play. In the 40th minute, Bianco Margoni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fausto Casale. The goal made the score 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bianco Margoni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Massa's Anfilogino Nanni got control of the ball when Demetrio Donadoni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Casale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Massa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Salice Cálabro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
