Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniele Pesce started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Alberto Scarinci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pioppa AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Scarinci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Gerola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alberto Scarinci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes of play, Pioppa AFC's Flavio Gerola made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulvio Doris was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Alberto Scarinci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulvio Doris was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Pioppa AFC's Ferdinando Antognoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Pesce in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Daniele Pesce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniele Pesce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ferdinando Antognoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Gerola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Doris having to interfere. The supporters of Barbaricina AFC booed when Pioppa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Arioli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pioppa AFC's Angelo Vulcano got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Pioppa AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Gerola made a kick off. When Barbaricina AFC's Daniele Pesce in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pioppa AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Elia Marinetti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pioppa AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbaricina AFC the free kick. Pioppa AFC's Ferdinando Antognoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Pesce in the 63rd minute of play. Barbaricina AFC's Alberigo Biscotti got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Pioppa AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ciccio Arioli hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pioppa AFC's zone, Alberigo Biscotti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinando Antognoni came out of the goal and Alberigo Biscotti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniele Pesce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdinando Antognoni came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Barbaricina AFC's Daniele Pesce. But to his dismay, Daniele Pesce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 79th minute, Daniele Pesce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinando Antognoni was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Gerola in the 84th minute of play forced Barbaricina AFC's goalkeeper Fulvio Doris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Pioppa AFC's Alberto Scarinci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulvio Doris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fulvio Doris made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Alberto Scarinci sent off a good shot on target. After 93 minutes of play Pioppa AFC's Elia Marinetti was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Elia Marinetti hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Alberto Scarinci came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Pioppa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Scarinci couldn't finish the play. Barbaricina AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pioppa AFC for a fine match.
