Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alexander Foddis made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Angelo Cellucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Solarolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Cellucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Biondi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Cellucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Adriano Biondi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Capaldo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Dave Bocchi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Armando Bartolucci. Anthony Brandolini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Achille Franco hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Alfonso Nelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dave Bocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Foddis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Nelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Bocchi having to interfere. Alexander Foddis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Bocchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Foddis's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthony Brandolini to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Solarolo's zone, Alexander Foddis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Bocchi came out of the goal and Alexander Foddis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Solarolo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Varano:s goal. Alexander Foddis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Bocchi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Solarolo's zone, Alexander Foddis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Bocchi came out of the goal and Alexander Foddis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute Emiliano Vida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Biondi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Solarolo's Dave Bocchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Foddis in the 69th minute of play. Alexander Foddis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dave Bocchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Nelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexander Foddis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Bocchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Foddis in the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Alfonso Nelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Varano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Nelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Nelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97thth minute of the game Alexander Foddis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solarolo's Dave Bocchi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
