In the 9th match minute, Villamarina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Di Piazza to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Del Nero struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Alberto Sisti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borgo Fusara. Ferruccio Marziali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Sciamanna having to interfere. Alfonso De Marco hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Achille Mannella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Sciamanna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Mannella in the 24th minute of play. Emiliano Sciamanna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Mannella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Achille Mannella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Sciamanna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achille Mannella in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Sciamanna saved Borgo Fusara from getting behind. Demetrio Di Piazza charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demetrio Di Piazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emiliano Sciamanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Marziali, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 48 minutes into the match, Achille Mannella had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Sciamanna. Borgo Fusara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Achille Mannella was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Borgo Fusara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Villamarina FC were winning 1-2.

In the 53rd minute, Edmondo Mannella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Ferruccio Marziali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villamarina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferruccio Marziali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Achille Mannella was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Villamarina FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ferruccio Marziali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Emiliano Sciamanna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ferruccio Marziali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villamarina FC's Alberto Sisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Mannella in the 70th minute of play. Edmondo Mannella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Sisti having to interfere. If Edmondo Mannella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Sisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Del Nero, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Angelo Del Nero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villamarina FC's Alberto Sisti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Sisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Crisantemo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The supporters of Villamarina FC booed when Borgo Fusara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Campo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villamarina FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
