Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Concetto Aquilino started the match with the kick off. Francesco Quattrocchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Burelli having to interfere. Donato Burelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Palone in the 7th minute of play. Casalino's Donato Burelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Quattrocchi in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Aurelio Palone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Burelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Concetto Aquilino succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Aurelio Palone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Montemurlo got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Palone. Anselmo Fortuna hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Fabio Chiappini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Montemurlo's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Aquilino came free, but Fausto Raimondi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montemurlo's Fausto Raimondi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Montemurlo from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Montemurlo's goalkeeper Fausto Raimondi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Chiappini. When Anselmo Fortuna fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Casalino's protests and gave Anselmo Fortuna a yellow card for diving instead. Donato Burelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Quattrocchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Palone to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Palone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Donato Burelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Montemurlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Orrore to maneuver through the defense. Casalino's Donato Burelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Palone in the 61st minute of play. Casalino's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aurelio Palone 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Anselmo Fortuna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casalino's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Fortuna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Raimondi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, one of Casalino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Montemurlo. Alvaro Graziano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Donato Burelli. 1-3. Donato Burelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesco Quattrocchi in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Chiappini in the 87th minute of play forced Montemurlo's goalkeeper Fausto Raimondi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Bernardo Campo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casalino's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Campo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Raimondi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabio Chiappini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Raimondi having to interfere. A collision led to Casalino getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Anselmo Fortuna hit a great ball. Francesco Quattrocchi struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Donato Burelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montemurlo. The Montemurlo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
