Alvaro Puce's late challenge caught a Selbagnone's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Puce helped the player get up and apologised. Alvaro Puce kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play Grisignano's Alvaro Puce was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Grisignano's Alvaro Puce got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Madonna in the 12th minute of play forced Grisignano's goalkeeper Cosimo Iannone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Mussi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Iannone having to interfere. Aurelio Romagnoli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beppe Cattaneo having to make a save. In the 21st minute, Anthony Vaiani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cristiano Mussi came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Selbagnone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Mussi couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Frank Di Pietro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grisignano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selbagnone the free kick. The supporters of Selbagnone booed when Grisignano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Di Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes in the game, Cristoforo Madonna dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Aurelio Romagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grisignano's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Romagnoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beppe Cattaneo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Selbagnone's Beppe Cattaneo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Selbagnone from getting a goal against them. Antonio Fiorentino kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Grisignano's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Monzeglio came free, but Cosimo Iannone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Romagnoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Beppe Cattaneo made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 51st minute, Frank Di Pietro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Nazzaro during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristoforo Madonna struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cosimo Iannone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selbagnone. Aurelio Romagnoli kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Claudio Nanni fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grisignano's protests and gave Claudio Nanni a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grisignano getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Claudio Nanni hit a great ball. Claudio Nanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Cattaneo having to interfere. Grisignano's Cosimo Iannone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Grisignano from getting a goal against them. Cristoforo Madonna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd match minute, Grisignano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Nanni to maneuver through the defense. Carlo Monzeglio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cosimo Iannone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Madonna in the 75th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristoforo Madonna in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosimo Iannone saved Grisignano from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Grisignano's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Madonna came free, but Cosimo Iannone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Selbagnone's Cristoforo Madonna in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grisignano's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Bruno De Francesco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosimo Iannone. Grisignano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno De Francesco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Selbagnone eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
