Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eraldo Torelli kicked off to start the match. Fulvio De Lellis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Ferri having to interfere. Fabiano Romino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fulvio Riccardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulvio Riccardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Romino, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Vergiano AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Biagio Travaglini hit a great ball. Andrea Pardini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulvio Riccardi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Romino in the 25th minute of play forced Vergiano AFC's goalkeeper Fulvio Riccardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eraldo Torelli came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vergiano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Torelli couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Armando De Zorzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tor Vaianica and the Vergiano AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eraldo Torelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tor Vaianica getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Franco Di Giovanni hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Andrea Pardini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tor Vaianica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Pardini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Romino made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrea Pardini in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulvio Riccardi saved Vergiano AFC from getting behind. Fulvio Riccardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Pardini, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Vergiano AFC's Fulvio Riccardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Romino in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Fabiano Romino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Riccardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Pardini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Demetrio Tenaglia fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tor Vaianica's protests and gave Demetrio Tenaglia a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Ermanno Lorenzi managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Fabiano Romino kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Tor Vaianica getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Diego Guerra hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Vergiano AFC's Ermanno Lorenzi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Eraldo Pascucci fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vergiano AFC's protests and gave Eraldo Pascucci a yellow card for diving instead. Corrado Ferri was a little too slow when Eraldo Torelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-2. 92 minutes into the game, Tor Vaianica's Fabiano Romino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulvio Riccardi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Corrado Ferri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulvio De Lellis in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
