After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Bianco Marchesani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casine's supporters rose to their feet, but Bianco Marchesani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Marchetti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Marchetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Polmone in the 24th minute of play. If Comunardo Di Natale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Casine eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
