Fabio Profeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Di Prinzio having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achille Barbanti was the one to do the kick off. When Pizzano AFC's Carmine Mazzola in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 72nd match minute, Varazze FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Marcantonio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Pizzano AFC booed when Varazze FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varazze FC's Antonello Di Prinzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Profeta in the 85th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
