Alessio Maranzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Rozzi struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alessio Maranzano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sestri Ponente. 19 minutes into the match, Comunardo Ragazzoni dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alessio Maranzano, 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, Sestri Ponente's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Bordon came free, but Ferdinando Di Nunzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fedele Foddis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sestri Ponente getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alessandro Di Meo hit a great ball.
Adriano Oriali kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 60 played minutes T Ti Giro got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Oriali. In the 62nd minute, Comunardo Ragazzoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fedele Foddis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinando Di Nunzio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bruno Bordon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 67 minute of play. If Bruno Bordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as T Ti Giro's Adriano Oriali slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferdinando Di Nunzio. That made the score 2-2 after 97 minutes of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
