Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aurelio Labate took the kick off in the first half of the match. Claudio Primavera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberigo Bondi. Trentola FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arturo Suriani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Bondi having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Ernesto Monzeglio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Maria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trentola FC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Santa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Monzeglio. Edmondo Moretta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Amedeo Troiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Giacchetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Troiano having to interfere. If Aurelio Labate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Arturo Suriani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Suriani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 2-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Arturo Suriani elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Amedeo Troiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Labate, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute Aurelio Labate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Troiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Aurelio Labate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trentola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Labate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amedeo Troiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Labate in the 36th minute of play forced Santa Maria's goalkeeper Amedeo Troiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aurelio Labate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Santa Maria's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Moretta came free, but Amedeo Troiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Trentola FC's Aurelio Labate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amedeo Troiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Arturo Suriani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Moretta in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amedeo Troiano saved Santa Maria from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Suriani was the one to do the kick off. Daniele Scarinci hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Edmondo Moretta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th match minute, Trentola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armin Ferrario to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Trentola FC's Emilio Giacchetti got a free kick in the 61st minute. Trentola FC's Alberigo Bondi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Suriani in the 64th minute of play. Aurelio Labate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Amedeo Troiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberigo Bondi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Suriani in the 69th minute of play. Edmondo Moretta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amedeo Troiano having to interfere. A collision led to Santa Maria getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Fortunato Imperiale hit a great ball. Alex Di Mattia, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Federico Bianchini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Maria's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Bianchini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Bondi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Labate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santa Maria's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
